Tython Jedi Enclave

The Tython Jedi Enclave is a community established by Jedi survivors in restored facilities on Tython. It provides a continuing home for instruction, civilian relief, historical study, and recovery within the rebuilding Jedi Order. Masters and Padawans share the setting with archivists, technical personnel, droids, and visitors whose work supports the community.

Apprenticeship brings study, practice, meditation, and supervised service into a continuing relationship between teacher and student. Field experience also returns to the classroom. Protecting civilians can require restraint, but a narrowing opportunity to intervene raises different questions from an exercise conducted with time to pause and reconsider. Both Mathius Harper and Mathar Seer face independent assessments of their readiness, giving these questions immediate relevance without making their reviews the purpose of every lesson.

Humanitarian work connects the enclave with people beyond its grounds. Preparation and follow-up require practical cooperation among Jedi, transport personnel, technicians, and other specialists. Civilian protection depends on usable equipment, clear communication, and an understanding of what each participant can responsibly undertake. Historical work supports that service by testing remembered experience against surviving evidence.

The enclave’s buildings support the following established uses. Their precise layout is unknown.

• Living quarters — Accommodation and private study for residents and apprentices.

• Practice and meditation areas — Teaching, exercises, and reflection.

• Archival workspaces — Research and examination of permitted historical material.

• Deployment preparation areas — Relief supplies, communications, and equipment.

• Consultation rooms — Interviews, mediation, and confidential reviews.

• Droid workshops — Repairs and preservation-sensitive servicing.

• Memorial spaces — Reflection on people and communities lost.

Tython’s forests, waterways, mountain routes, and ancient remains extend the possibilities for field instruction and exploration beyond the enclave. Travel can encounter difficult ground, wildlife, damaged structures, and old defensive systems. A nearby ruin should not be treated as a maintained extension of the community.

Teaching, deliveries, repairs, relief coordination, and consultation can bring visitors to the enclave. Entry is tied to the purpose of the visit. Protected communications, personal accommodation, witnesses, and sensitive material have additional boundaries.

The enclave manages its own instruction, discipline, assignments, and internal affairs. Cooperation with Republic personnel can support particular work without placing the community under their direction. Jedi rank likewise provides no general authority over independent institutions.

Research permission is specific to the material and task. A Padawan authorized to compare documents may offer analysis without acquiring ownership of the records or permission to release them. Custodians elsewhere retain responsibility for their holdings, including when selected information contributes to a joint inquiry.

The enclave stands within a much older Jedi relationship with Tython. After Imperial forces destroyed the Jedi Temple during the Sacking of Coruscant, the Order returned to its ancestral world to recover and renew its teachings. Tython became an important sanctuary during the early SWTOR period, although the surrounding ruins and conflicts with neighboring populations complicated that refuge.

Imperial forces subsequently assaulted Tython during Forged Alliances. Further wars brought losses and dispersal. Before the Ossus campaign, Lana Beniko’s intelligence assessment described a small remaining Jedi presence on Tython alongside encounters with other Jedi elsewhere. Her suggestion that the Order had deliberately decentralized was an intelligence interpretation, not a complete account of every survivor community.

The hidden Jedi colony on Ossus provides another part of that wider history. Its existence and eventual discovery demonstrate the changing circumstances in which Jedi preserved their people and teachings. They do not establish the founding membership or origins of this particular enclave.

The present community’s foundation date, full list of founders, and architectural relationship to the earlier temple remain unknown. Its established role is local: a functioning community supporting the Order’s recovery through teaching, service, and preservation.

Archives & Remembrance

Jedi Master Jasmin Dawnseer died in the Ord Mantell evacuation disaster of 3630 BBY, at approximately 47. Her association with the present enclave is posthumous; she never lived here. Teaching, historical study, and remembrance preserve her influence without making her a founder or former resident.

Dawnseer was Amara Noxstar’s formal Master. Kleya Noxstar received additional humanitarian mentorship from her while studying formally under Master Arindon. These different relationships matter when examining their recollections and the lessons passed to their own students.

A lesson, service assignment, technical visit, or personal connection can bring characters into enclave life. Possible scenes include:

• A student must explain when they would end an exercise and intervene in a real emergency.

• A relief team discovers that its available transport cannot carry everything requested.

• A technician and droid disagree about which diagnostic procedure is worth the risk to damaged memories.

• A visiting researcher can answer one historical question but needs permission to examine the relevant material.

• A village representative requests help while challenging the Jedi’s understanding of the problem.

• A returning field team debates whether an object should remain where it was found.

• A shared meal gives two characters space to revisit an uncomfortable decision without a formal hearing.

• A routine delivery arrives with contradictory instructions about its intended recipient.

Characters

• Amara Noxstar — Jedi Master whose enclave service combines civilian protection, defensive intervention, instruction, and record authentication. She teaches Mathius Harper.

• Mathius Harper — Amara’s Padawan, undertaking supervised humanitarian work and training while his ability to act within a closing decision window remains under independent review.

• Kleya Noxstar — Jedi Master, mediator, and humanitarian specialist. She teaches Mathar Seer and contributes to historical reconstruction while remaining a witness whose own decisions require scrutiny.

• Mathar Seer — Kleya’s Padawan and a supervised historical analyst. His work includes provenance, documentary comparison, and mediation support; his readiness review concerns judgment when certainty remains incomplete.

• JRS-4 — Humanitarian droid, historical witness, and custodian operating principally through the enclave. Its experience assists reconstruction, while damaged and incomplete memories require corroboration.
