Explore StarForgeRP’s shared stories, find a reason for your character to become involved, and follow the consequences of earlier adventures. This section connects developing situations with campaigns, missions, gatherings, and remembered events.
Participants can play through Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR), Discord, or another mutually agreed format. Their choices help shape a persistent setting that later stories can build upon.
For an introduction to participation, read Getting Started. Consult Current Setting for the shared present and adopted SWTOR story boundary; that page contains story spoilers.
Choose a destination according to what you want to explore. These categories can overlap, and a story does not need to pass through each one.
Get an overview of continuing stories and the connections between them. Follow each story’s own record for its developments and participation information.
Check for opportunities to begin an interaction or introduce a character. Hooks provide circumstances to respond to—a request, rumor, unresolved problem, or personal connection—while leaving the result open.
Follow narratives that bring several pieces of roleplay together. A campaign might connect investigations across distant worlds or trace changing relationships within a small community.
Find stories with a particular goal or problem to pursue. Browse mission listings for progress and participation details, then open a record to understand the situation. Plans may change, and failure can have lasting consequences.
Explore occasions that bring characters together, such as a gathering, ceremony, or public meeting. Participants can have different interests, and what happens there may lead to further roleplay.
Discover what earlier roleplay established and why it still matters. Concluded stories may leave unresolved questions, altered relationships, outstanding obligations, or circumstances that other characters later encounter.
Begin with something that matters to your character. A modest connection can support meaningful roleplay without requiring a place at the center of a major campaign.
A familiar person, mutual contact, or relationship worth pursuing.
A home, workplace, destination, or organization connected to the character.
Expertise, transport, repairs, information, or another service someone needs.
A debt, responsibility, disputed agreement, or unanswered request.
A local difficulty, shared interest, or discovery that invites a response.
Browse the Character Directory for people whose circumstances could intersect with your character’s life. Read their dossiers for the context behind a possible connection.
Before entering an established story, check whether it welcomes additional participants and coordinate where needed. A story being active does not establish that anyone can join. Likewise, reading a secret or restricted account does not give a character access to that information.
Players retain control over their characters’ decisions. Characters can disagree, compete, or misunderstand each other while their players collaborate. See Roleplay Guidelines for expectations concerning communication, boundaries, conflict, agency, and character knowledge.
Earlier play can shape later encounters. A new allegiance, injury, discovery, damaged building, or unfinished obligation may remain relevant long after the scene that established it.
Character developments belong with the relevant dossiers in Characters. Changes to places can be reflected in Galaxy, while lasting developments involving organizations and other setting subjects belong with the appropriate Lore entries. Use the Timeline when the timing of an event helps explain shared history.
Story records connect those consequences to the people, choices, and circumstances that produced them. Preserve enough for future participants to understand what happened and what remains unresolved.
For how established lore, community-created history, uncertainty, and revisions fit together, see Continuity & Canon.
