Give equipment a place in someone’s life. A familiar diagnostic instrument, a carefully maintained prosthesis, or a transport shared by a working crew can create enduring connections through everyday use.

• Purpose — What job does it perform, and what exceeds its capabilities?

• History — How was it acquired, and which owners, repairs, or assignments still matter?

• Expertise — Who operates it, and whose help does its upkeep require?

• Support — Which components, supplies, power sources, or facilities keep it useful?

• Opportunity — What delivery, consultation, discovery, or disagreement could involve another character?

Routine equipment can work reliably. When a limitation matters, ground it in the established machine and circumstances. Specialized expertise gives characters reasons to cooperate, while unusual equipment still leaves room for other participants’ choices.

Use SWTOR’s narrative and descriptive evidence to establish consequential capabilities. Gameplay ratings, cooldowns, crafting limits, and class restrictions do not independently define a machine’s complete in-universe specification.

Continuity & Canon explains how SWTOR, compatible Legends material, and StarForgeRP-created history fit together. A technology documented in another period needs an appropriate basis for Old Republic use; an exceptional example does not establish universal availability.
