Korriban Garrison

Korriban Garrison is a distributed network of Imperial Army facilities on Korriban, supporting the conventional military presence around the world’s Sith institutions. Its installations sustain perimeter security, transportation, medical care, supplies, communications, and operational readiness. Soldiers, specialists, transport crews, and droids work across several commands and service areas rather than within a single fortress.

The garrison’s working rhythm follows the needs of its personnel and installations. Perimeter units inspect approaches, maintain observation and sensor coverage, verify movements, and prepare for security incidents. Logistics personnel coordinate cargo, vehicles, supplies, and onward transport. Command staff compare readiness reports with the resources and instructions available to their formations. Much of this work involves cooperation between people who control different parts of the same task.

Medical activity connects those routines with immediate human consequences. Casualty facilities support treatment, stabilization, detachment readiness, and evacuation planning. Clinical priorities must be matched with available transport and usable routes. Engineers and communications personnel keep the supporting infrastructure functioning, while maintenance records and technical reports help establish what a system could reliably do when it was needed.

The installations also provide quarters and recurring points of contact for assigned personnel. Transfers, inspections, deliveries, repairs, and time between duties can bring characters together without a senior command appointment or investigative role. Shared service creates opportunities for professional trust, disagreement, and relationships that continue beyond one assignment.

The network includes command, support, clinical, technical, and security facilities with different access requirements. Its precise layout and the distances between installations are not established.

A posting, delivery, technical task, medical responsibility, escort assignment, or authorized review can provide a legitimate reason to enter. Permission remains specific to the destination and purpose. Access to a support compound does not automatically open command systems, detention spaces, clinical files, or evidence storage.

Army control of an approach does not confer authority over the Sith Academy, its archives, Sith instruction, relic operations, or separately held intelligence. The conventional garrison also remains distinct from the Imperial Guard. The Imperial Military reference explains the broader relationship between military command and Sith political power; local procedures do not remove the pressures of serving a Sith-ruled state.

Professional responsibilities likewise remain distinct. Medical personnel establish clinical priorities while depending on others for vehicles and secure routes. Verification specialists assess records without deciding every question of responsibility. An outside reviewer may examine designated personnel and decisions without assuming permanent command of the facilities involved.

Custody & Records

Protected material passes through authorized examination and transfer arrangements. A comparison may concern particular records without opening the rest of an archive. Authentication establishes information about a record’s origin and handling; its contents still require evaluation against other evidence.

The Sith Empire’s reclamation of Korriban restored the Academy’s role in training a new generation of Sith. The present garrison supports Imperial activity around that enduring institutional center. Its facilities have distinct functions and command relationships; their history does not establish that the current organization existed unchanged throughout earlier periods of Imperial control.

An earlier escalation failure in 3622 BBY affected the command environment inherited by later operations. Captain Maxir Korden exceeded his engagement authority under an inadequately bounded contingency order, contributing to preventable casualties. Formal censure and operational restrictions followed, while Major Tarika Kenau received corrective action concerning delegation. The consequences remained relevant when personnel later faced decisions about whether to act or await clearer authorization.

The failed Ash Corridor operation in 3621 BBY brought further scrutiny to communications, movement, casualty response, and command decisions. Its complete sequence and distribution of responsibility remain disputed. Earlier disciplinary findings provide context but do not settle the later investigation.

An assignment, transfer, delivery, repair, medical need, or professional relationship can bring characters into the garrison’s everyday life. Participation in its connected investigations is not required. Possible starting points include:

• A newly assigned specialist needs an experienced colleague’s help understanding which facilities can support their work.

• A convoy arrives with cargo that does not match its manifest, leaving personnel to establish whether the discrepancy arose during loading, transit, or documentation.

• A communications repair requires a temporary interruption that another unit considers unacceptable.

• A casualty needs urgent evacuation while medical staff, transport crews, and checkpoint personnel hold different parts of the solution.

• An escort must complete a protected transfer when the receiving personnel have conflicting instructions.

• A readiness exercise tests whether revised procedures work under pressure, without predetermining success or failure.

• A technical inspection at Ash Corridor must preserve relevant evidence while addressing equipment needed for continuing operations.

• Two colleagues use a quiet interval between duties to discuss an earlier disagreement, a transfer, or an obligation that service has complicated.

• Veyra Dren — Colonel commanding a provisional support and security formation. Her responsibilities connect senior staff work, readiness, subordinate commands, and the scope of authorized review.

• Sara Kenau — Major commanding the 1st Perimeter Battalion. The garrison is her residence and principal workplace, as well as the setting for much of her operational reconstruction.

• Tarika Kenau — Major commanding the 2nd Containment Battalion. Her work connects movement control, external security, containment, and evacuation coordination.

• Maxir Korden — Captain commanding Delta Response & Enforcement Company within Tarika’s battalion. His field quarters and command spaces remain part of the garrison’s working environment.

• Gavin Rin — Imperial Medical Corps lieutenant commanding a Forward Casualty Detachment. The medical facilities are his principal workplace for treatment, readiness, and clinical review.

• PX-21 — Verification droid assigned to Sara’s battalion. It examines records, versions, and custody across authorized facilities; its Ash Corridor involvement began during reconstruction after the operation.

• Zylia Vashara — Darth conducting a limited, Krovos-authorized Military Command review of Veyra and her formation. The garrison is her active field-review environment, rather than a permanent command.

• Cale Oldin — Zylia’s apprentice, who may return for assigned escort, security, custody, or recovery support. He has no permanent Korriban posting or independent investigative office.
